This review is later than I would have liked but I’ve been down with the sickness (COVID) since Wednesday night. This strain is a really nasty one. Today (Saturday) is the first day that I haven’t slept all day in awhile so I must get to work!

The Good:
* Landon is completely psychotic. Yes, I’m aware that I’m classifying this as good and it’s because I enjoyed reading his character so much that I had a hard time tearing my eyes away. He’s unhinged, he’s obsessed, he’s a stalker, he’s the perfect MMC in a dark romance. He gives Regan some wild gifts that are pretty entertaining to read about.
* I really liked the back stories of the characters. Eva goes into detail on both of them as they both have traumatic pasts. I feel that these are important to understand some of the actions of the characters. There’s a ton of horror movie references. Regan’s dad is even a famous horror author.
* At a certain point, this book basically turns into a thriller and I was here for it. My anxiety was ramped up and I could not turn the pages fast enough to find out what was going to happen next.
The Meh:
* It could have been interesting to have more interactions with friends/family in the storyline and less spice scenes but don’t get me wrong I still loved this book.
Bottom Line:
This is a very dark romance so reader beware, make sure to click the link and check the trigger warnings if you have them. I basically have no triggers and while this isn’t related, I loved this book. This is my first Eva Marks book but it definitely won’t be my last. How do I describe this? This was a disgusting, terrifying, enchanting, heartwarming thrill ride that I would pay to ride again. If you like yourself a dark and twisted stalker romance, if you’ve ever enjoyed a book by Lauren Biel. or you’re a dark romance girlie I’d pick this book up.
