Elfemies to Lovers by Jennifer Chipman

Rating: 4/5

Spice: 3/5

Plot: 5/5

Primary Genre: Christmas Romance

Blurb: Ivy Winters As the head elf at Santa’s Christmasland, I never expected to be butting heads with the new executive—or going on a date with him. But when he asked me to go home with him for Christmas, I surprised myself by saying yes. Oh, and he’s from the North Pole. And apparently, I’m an elf.

Teddy Claus Training to take over the family business was no small undertaking, but for the last few years, I’d been working my way up through the ranks, mastering each branch of our enterprise. But everything was different when I arrived at our Christmas themed amusement park and met her. Maybe that was why I invited her home with me for Christmas. It felt like I’d been searching my whole life for something, and I’d finally found it. Maybe, what I’d needed all along was Ivy by my side.

The Good:

* This book was giving “The Santa Clause 2” meets The Hallmark Channel but with spice and I was here for it. I absolutely adored the plot.

* If you want Christmas vibes, look no further because you are going to find a Christmas explosion in this book. This is Christmas nonstop so it’s perfect to get you in the mood for the holiday season.

* There are lots of heartwarming moments about family and the meaning of Christmas for all of the cozy Christmas vibes.

* The Christmas ambiance simply does not quit and Jennifer does an exceptional job of decribing the surrounding to make you feel like you’re in a world of Christmas

The Meh:

* The dialogue from the MMC seemed a little cheesy to me at times.

* The FMCs attitude was irksome to me, I think it’s meant to be part of the character’s charm but I began to find it irritating.

Bottom Line:

The perfect book to read to get you in the mood to put up your Christmas tree. I highly recommend playing Hallmark Christmas movies in the background while reading. Drinking hot cocoa wouldn’t hurt either. This book brings nonstop cozy Christmas vibes and it would be great to read every year to stir up the magic of Christmas.
