Still working towards that personal pan pizza
Introvert’s Book Club
Love Interest #9 (Big Star, Small Town #2) by Mia Summers
Book #2 in this series follows the story of Lucas Stone, the best friend of Ryan Jones (the famous actor in book #1) and he is also a Hollywood hunk. In book one, Lucas is scouting a film location for the majority of the book and this is the story of what he's doing while Ryan is handcuffed to Olivia.
Hooked On Hollywood (Big Star, Small Town #1) by Mia Summers
This is my first Mia Summers book, I received it through NetGalley in exchange for my honest review. In this closed door, forced proximity romance, we find our MC Olivia back in her small hometown after catching her fiance cheating with her maid of honor in LA.
One Sweet Holiday (Jasmine Falls Love Stories #3) by Lucy Day
This is my first Lucy Day book so obviously I haven't read any of the other books in the series. I received a copy of this from NetGalley in exchange for honest feedback. Our main character Gwen lives in Jasmine Falls, SC which is a small town. She's just recently dumped her fiance because he was cheating on her but now her sister Victoria is getting married over the holiday season
Three Hearts Hideaway by Luna Day
Our story takes place in Canada and our 33 year old MC Ava took off with zero plans to a small town after her narcissist, gaslighting (now ex) boyfriend sent out a voice message to everyone in her contact list (including her parents, boss and clients) slut shaming her for asking him for what she really wants in bed.
Kismet by Gab Tuls
I received this book in exchange for an honest review from NetGalley. This book was a quick and fun read. Our 24 year old MC Tracey's life is kind of falling apart. Does she get on track or enter into her villain era? In the vein of the "Choose Your Own Adventure" books I read and loved as a kid, this book presents a similar idea but with some spice!
Below Zero (The STEMinist Novellas #3) by Ali Hazelwood
Last book of this novella series, realistically they could have all been combined into one book. Hannah' and Ian's story is another dual timeline, taking place at CalTech/NASA and Norway. Ian is actually Mara's cousin (Mara is from book 1), which I thought was a cute tie in.
Stuck with You (The STEMinist Novellas #2) by Ali Hazelwood
This is the first Ali story that I felt very meh about. The characters weren't well developed, weren't really likable, and the ending felt a little bit like someone slapped a sticker on it that said "done".
Under One Roof (The STEMinist Novellas #1) by Ali Hazelwood
I read some goodreads reviews before I started this novella and I truly don't understand the hate. Ali Hazelwood has me in a complete chokehold.
Love On the Brain by Ali Hazelwood
I know, I know, I know. Another Ali Hazelwood novel. My seasonal depression is currently making all of my reading choices, give me a break. So, this go round we've got a neuroscientist named Bee who has purple hair and piercings, is obsessed with Marie Curie and has a career that's teetering between failure and success.
Love, Theoretically by Ali Hazelwood
What can I say, my last book may have gotten my hooked on Ali Hazelwood. This book is a whole mess of entanglements and I adore it. Elsie is an adjunct professor and a theoretical physicist. She is also a chronic people pleaser who tends to morph herself into whatever she thinks that whoever she’s talking to wants her to be.
The Love Hypothesis by Ali Hazelwood
This is my first Ali Hazelwood book and I loved it! Let me say, my seasonal depression needed this! The characters are so well thought out and the cringey moments are so cringe. It was delightfully funny, had just the right amount of steaminess imo, and I absolutely loved the storyline.
The Last Phone Booth In Manhattan by Beth Merlin and Danielle Modafferi
This book is an absolute gem. This book begins like a happy ending to a Hallmark Christmas movie and and the life of our MC Avery Lawrence takes a steep turn into nowhereland. She manages to go from riches to rags in a matter of a day.
